Lebanon army chief in Pakistan, funeral plans for soldiers killed by Israel

Funerals for Lebanese officers killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon will be held on Sunday. Lebanese army chief Rodolphe Haykal traveled to Pakistan, a key mediator between the US and Iran, as fighting continues. A ceasefire agreed on April 27 failed to halt near-daily Israeli attacks, with over 3,500 people killed in Lebanon since March 2.
