Morocco Council Urges Strong Funding, Reforms for Health Coverage Expansion

Morocco’s Economic, Social, and Environmental Council (CESE) warned that the success of the universal health coverage expansion plan relies on securing sufficient and sustainable funding. It recommended improving public healthcare services, strengthening mutual insurance organizations, and introducing complementary health coverage. CESE also proposed establishing unions and a national federation of mutual organizations to enhance governance and emphasized the need for a unified national system to manage health insurance.
