Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi Confirms Fake Fuel Threat Contained, Supplies Secure

Energy and Petroleum CS Opiyo Wandayi stated that the delivery of a second fuel cargo was halted following the arrest of four senior officials for importing substandard fuel. Wandayi assured the public that the situation is under control and that there are sufficient stocks of petroleum products to meet current demand. The arrested officials, including former petroleum PS Mohammed Liban, are accused of procuring fuel worth over Ksh 4 billion.
