The nuclear plant dividend: What Siaya stands to gain

Between April 15 and 18, the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency and KenGen held a consultative workshop with Siaya County leaders to align the 3,000 MW nuclear power plant project with local interests. During construction, the site will require nearly 30,000 workers, providing significant economic stimulus. By 2034, the plant will offer approximately 4,000 permanent high-skilled positions, representing a century-long economic anchor for the region.
