IMF to give Ethiopia $468m

Ethiopia is set to receive an additional $468 million from the IMF under the fifth review of the $3.4 billion Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program. The staff-level agreement, announced on June 3, brings total disbursements to about $2.65 billion. Talks were held in Addis Ababa from May 6 to 20, led by Alvaro Piris. The IMF noted progress on the Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda despite disruptions from the Middle East conflict.
