Timipre Sylva's brother, Anagha begs court to compel DSS to release him from detention

Paganengigha Anagha, the younger brother of former Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva, has asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to order the DSS to release him after 171 days in detention. He claimed that the 60-day detention order granted to the DSS had expired and that his continued detention violated the Nigerian Constitution. Anagha also stated that he had not been allowed to access his lawyer or family since his arrest and requested to be released or formally charged. His lawyer argued that the detention was abusive and violated constitutional rights.
