Ghana abolishes visa fees for African countries starting May 25, 2026.

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama announced the abolition of visa fees for citizens of African countries starting May 25, 2026. Applicants will be able to obtain e-visas online at no cost, aiming to enhance intra-African mobility. However, Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa clarified that applicants will still need to follow a visa application procedure for security checks.
