The Kenyan government is set to seek Ksh 77.5 billion (USD 600 million) in emergency funding from the World Bank to cushion the economy from the impacts of the ongoing Middle East conflict. Treasury CS John Mbadi stated that the country could access this funding quickly, although the official request has not yet been activated. The Central Bank of Kenya has also acknowledged requesting significant financial assistance to stabilize fuel supplies and inflation pressures.
