A jersey worn by soccer legend Pelé in the 1958 World Cup final, where he scored two goals in Brazil's 5-2 win over Sweden, sold for $4.9 million at Sotheby's in New York. It became the second most expensive jersey sold at auction, after Maradona's shirt which fetched $9.3 million. An anonymous buyer outbid four others to secure the piece.
