Morocco's Economy and Finance Minister Nadia Fettah Alaoui announced that the government has been allocating MAD 1.6 billion ($160 million) per month since March 15 to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on Moroccan households. She acknowledged that the price surge, attributed to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, is eroding citizens' purchasing power. Additionally, she noted that the state has mobilized over MAD 110 billion to support basic commodities and implemented fiscal reforms to ease the cost of living.
