Benin's Finance Minister Wins Presidential Election with 94%

Romuald Wadagni, Benin's Finance Minister, won the presidential election with 94% of the votes according to provisional results. Endorsed by outgoing President Patrice Talon, Wadagni pledged to continue the country's economic growth. His only opponent, Paul Hounkpe, conceded defeat. The election took place peacefully, despite some reported incidents.
