Italy’s foreign minister slams Israel’s Ben-Gvir over ‘flip-flop’ comments

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called 'unacceptable' the comments of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who insulted Italy as the 'land of the flip-flop'. Ben-Gvir is under Italian investigation for alleged torture and kidnapping of Italian citizens during the interception of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla. Over 430 activists were detained by Israeli authorities. Tajani said Rome would continue to push the EU to sanction Ben-Gvir.
