Nigeria begins mass trial of 500 terrorism suspects

Nigeria has begun the prosecution of over 500 individuals accused of involvement in militant attacks, marking one of the country's largest terrorism trials. The suspects are primarily charged with aiding the Boko Haram Islamist group in the northeast. The trial opened in Abuja, where 227 suspects were arraigned before 10 judges.
