Nigeria considers IPv6 shift to unlock $18bn digital market

Nigeria plans to accelerate the adoption of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) to tap into an estimated $18 billion digital market. During the inauguration of the Nigeria IPv6 Council, Chairman Muhammed Rudman expressed concerns about the slow migration from IPv4, which has stalled at about five percent. The roadmap aims for 20 percent IPv6 adoption in government networks by 2027 and 30 percent nationwide by 2030.
