NRC boss seeks stronger security collaboration with police, demands tougher penalties for vandals

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr. Kayode Opeifa, reaffirmed the Corporation's commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to protect railway infrastructure. Three suspected railway vandals were arrested and stolen railway materials valued at about ₦200 million were recovered during a joint operation. Opeifa called for tougher penalties to deter vandals and urged the public to provide credible information to authorities.
