Inside Kenya's Long-Term Plan to Build Long-Term Fuel Reserves and End Shortage Fears

Kenya is planning to establish long-term fuel reserves to address shortages and supply shocks, as announced by Energy Minister Opiyo Wandayi. Currently, the country relies on a continuous supply chain, leading to shortages when supply is interrupted. Wandayi stated that the government is working with the private sector to create reserves capable of storing fuel products for longer periods. If implemented, this project could reduce the vulnerability of Kenya's energy system to disruptions.
