UNDP Launches Youth Employment Initiative with 500 Paid Graduate Placements in Kenya

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will roll out 500 job placements for young Kenyan graduates under the NextGen initiative, starting within two months with a pilot phase. Selected graduates will receive a monthly stipend between Ksh20,000 and Ksh25,000 for one year, and will be matched with companies via a platform developed in partnership with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). UNDP Kenya Resident Representative Dr Jean-Luc Stalon said all economic sectors are eligible, with efforts to ensure gender balance and representation of rural and urban areas.
