The trial of former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele may face further delays due to the unavailability of a key witness, Jim Obazee. The special investigator appointed by President Bola Tinubu may not be able to testify in the case concerning an alleged $6.23 million discrepancy linked to the CBN's Abuja branch. Judge Hamza Muazu has previously expressed concerns over repeated delays and directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to present its principal witness at the next hearing.
