JKIA Modernization Project Advances as KAA Leads Pre-Bid Site Visit

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced significant progress in the expansion of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). A pre-bid site visit took place on April 9, 2026, bringing together prospective bidders to better understand the project scope. Participants inspected key infrastructure, including airside facilities and terminals, as part of a modernization project set to start in June 2026 at a cost of Ksh20 billion.
