UK pursues Sh219m fraud convict linked to Nairobi

British authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Pritesh Ashok Shah, a convicted fraudster believed to be living in Nairobi, after a UK court found him guilty of a $1.7 million scam. Shah, a former Credit Suisse employee, was convicted in November 2025 on charges of fraud, forgery, and perverting the course of justice. He allegedly exploited trust networks to secure loans he never repaid while portraying himself as wealthy through carefully constructed lies.
