The Kimbanguist Church of Ituri Calls on Armed Groups to Draw Inspiration from Simon Kimbangu's Peaceful Struggle

On the occasion of the day dedicated to the prophet Simon Kimbangu, religious leaders in Bunia called for peace and urged armed groups to abandon violence. Isidore Kivukama, head of the Kimbanguist Church, emphasized the importance of following Kimbangu's example of peaceful resistance to end cycles of violence in Ituri. He also stressed the need for national unity in the face of external threats.
