Morocco's delegate minister in charge of the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, announced that the government is spending over MAD 1.6 billion per month to shield consumers from the energy price surge caused by the Middle East crisis. The price of butane gas will remain unchanged due to an increase in state subsidies from MAD 30 to MAD 78 per 12 kg bottle. Additionally, no changes will be made to electricity tariffs, with the government absorbing the rising costs of fuels used in power generation.
