EACC Survey Shows Average Bribe Amounts in Kenya With Magistrates Topping the List

The 2025 National Gender and Corruption Survey revealed that magistrates receive the highest bribes in Kenya, averaging Ksh164,367. Civil registration officers received the lowest average bribe of Ksh1,415. Other public sectors, such as elected county representatives and immigration officers, also reported significant amounts, averaging Ksh13,038 and Ksh12,102 respectively.
