Motorists Warned of Traffic Disruptions as Nairobi Marathon 2026 Triggers Expressway, CBD Closures on Sunday

The 2026 Nairobi City Marathon will cause major traffic disruptions on Sunday, June 7, with road closures starting at midnight. Key affected routes include the Nairobi Expressway, Uhuru Highway, Kenyatta Avenue, and several CBD streets. The Expressway will be closed in both directions from James Gichuru to JKIA from Saturday 10pm to Sunday 3pm. 17,000 participants are expected, including elite athletes.
