Peruvian authorities confirm Fujimori and Sanchez advance to runoff

Peruvian election authorities confirmed that right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori will face left-wing Congress member Roberto Sanchez in the presidential runoff. Fujimori received 17% of the votes, followed by Sanchez with 12%. JNE President Roberto Burneo acknowledged logistical issues during the first round and promised improvements for the second round.
