Benue, Plateau communities hit by fresh attacks, 27 killed

At least 27 people were killed in separate attacks on communities in Benue and Plateau states in Nigeria. In Benue, 18 were killed in attacks in Otukpo, including two farmers in Akpachi and 16 others in Otukpo-Nobi. In Plateau, nine members of the same family, including a two-month-old baby, were killed in Kum and Wereng-Camp. The attacks were reportedly carried out by suspected armed herdsmen, and angry youths protested by bringing the bodies to the Och'Idoma palace.
