According to UNICEF, only one in four children in Nigeria can read properly and do basic math by age 14. Celine Lafoucriere, Chief of UNICEF Lagos Field Office, stated that over 10 million children are out of school. She advocated for digital learning resources and AI education. UNICEF education specialist Harold Kpojime added that 20 million children are out of school, with 12.4 million having never attended school.
