Manufacturers in Nigeria have raised concerns about the low contribution of manufactured goods to national exports, despite a 9.93% increase in total exports in 2025, reaching N85.13 trillion. Manufactured exports accounted for only N2.5 trillion, less than 3% of the total. The Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Export Promotion Group, Odiri Erewa-Meggison, emphasized the need for practical reforms to enhance the country's competitiveness in the global market.
