Families seek rescue of 13 abducted Borno travellers after 60 days in captivity - Daily Post Nigeria

Families of 13 travellers abducted on April 15, 2026 along the Biu–Maiduguri–Damaturu road have appealed for intensified rescue efforts after 60 days in captivity. Spokesman Hassan Yati said the victims include a nursing mother with a seven-month-old baby, young graduates heading to Maiduguri for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) processing, and a married couple. The families urged President Bola Tinubu, Governor Babagana Zulum, and security agencies to act. No confirmed information on the victims' whereabouts has been received.
