Nigerian governors back state police, constitution amendment

The 36 Nigerian governors, under the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), have backed the establishment of state police. After a meeting in Abuja that stretched into early Thursday, they stressed the need for clear constitutional provisions and protection of citizens' rights.
