Nigerian Resident Doctors Commence Indefinite Strike

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has commenced an indefinite nationwide strike, withdrawing services across public hospitals. This decision follows an extraordinary National Executive Council meeting where members expressed their disappointment over the federal government's reversal of the reviewed Professional Allowance Table. NARD also raised concerns about unpaid arrears and delays in the disbursement of the Medical Residency Training Fund.
