Felipe Paullier, the UN Assistant Secretary General for Youth Affairs, described the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a critical agent for youth development in Nigeria. At the launch of the NYSC Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers, he praised the program's free medical interventions, which have benefited over five million Nigerians since 2014. NYSC Director General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu announced that this year, about 45,000 people are projected to benefit from free medical services, supported by mobile clinics donated by Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
