Matatu Operators Announce Increase in Fares After EPRA Hikes Diesel Past Ksh200

Transport operators and matatu saccos across the country have announced an immediate fare increase following the EPRA's fuel price review, effective at midnight. EPRA raised diesel prices by Ksh40.30 per litre, leading to an estimated 13 to 14% increase in transport operating costs. The Kenya Transporters Association advised its members to adjust their pricing structures to reflect these new economic realities.
