CEOs eye more investments in East Africa region

A recent study shows that 54% of Kenyan CEOs plan to make between one and several acquisitions in Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda in the coming years. These acquisitions aim to increase market share and diversify products or services. However, 32% of CEOs have no acquisition plans, focusing instead on managing their businesses. Intra-EAC trade grew by 18.42% in 2024, but its share of total trade has declined.
