AFC/M23 rebels set fire to over 100 homes in Lukweti, Masisi

Hundreds of homes were set on fire in Lukweti, northeastern Masisi territory, by AFC/M23 rebels targeting houses suspected of harboring Wazalendo fighters. Fighting erupted, causing heavy and light weapon fire, instilling fear in the local population. These clashes come a week after other violence in the same area, worsening the already existing humanitarian crisis with thousands displaced.
