Residents Block Mwea-Embu Highway After Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident

On April 12, 2026, residents of Ngurubani Town blocked the Mwea-Embu Highway following a fatal accident involving a miraa vehicle. Protesters, mainly boda boda riders, accused miraa drivers of reckless driving, leading to loss of lives.
