The National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE) rejected claims by the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (NATCA) regarding the obsolescence of airspace systems. In a statement, NAAE highlighted the progress made by the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in upgrading infrastructure, including the TRACON system. The association also mentioned efforts to improve manpower, with the recruitment of new personnel and the re-engagement of 95% of retired controllers.
