Troops raid illegal mining site, arrest three suspects in Kogi

Troops under Operation MESA raided an illegal mining site in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on April 13, arresting three suspects who claimed to be gold dealers and members of the Miyetti Allah socio-cultural group. The operation recovered arms and various items, including a locally made pistol and ammunition. The suspects and recovered exhibits are currently in military custody for further investigation.
