D-Day veterans mark 82nd anniversary as nearly 100 British names added to memorial

Some of the last surviving UK veterans are commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings. Nearly 100 names have been added to the British Normandy Memorial, including that of Cecil Green, whose son campaigned for his addition. Only six veterans are attending the ceremony this year, the smallest number since the memorial opened in 2021.
