Renewed fighting risks ‘humanitarian catastrophe’ in Yemen, aid groups warn

Humanitarian groups ICRC and WFP have sounded the alarm over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Yemen, with an estimated 800,000 people cut off from essential food aid due to intensified fighting between Saudi-backed forces and Houthis. Over 18 million Yemenis are food insecure, and a record 74% of households in accessible areas cannot meet their daily food needs.
