IFAD-VCDP calls for flexible insurance, loan packages for farmers in Niger

The IFAD Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) has called on financial and insurance institutions to introduce flexible loans and insurance for farmers in Niger. Programme Coordinator Hajiya Hadizat Isah emphasized the need to ease loan conditions, as many farmers struggle with repayments. CAF leaders also pledged to educate farmers about new insurance products. Financial institutions assured continued support for farmers even after the exit of IFAD-VCDP from Nigeria.
