IGP vows to end impunity in police force

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu assured Nigerians in Benin City that the era of impunity within the Nigeria Police is over. During an official visit, he referenced a recent incident where a police officer shot a civilian who was not resisting, calling it impunity. Disu promised to upgrade the traffic warden unit and received a commitment from officers to establish a new police force that belongs to the community.
