Loan companies responsible for N1.5bn workers’ salary deductions — Kano Govt

The Kano State Government stated that no public official was involved in the alleged theft of N1.5 billion from workers’ salaries, attributing the issue to loan companies. Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk Ibrahim, explained that an investigation revealed excessive deductions made by these companies from civil servants' salaries. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ordered the investigation following allegations against a former official, Abdullahi Musa.
