Law on the CNRM: The Constitutional Council censors the two most repressive provisions against the media.

The Constitutional Council annulled the most repressive provisions of the law on the National Council for Media Regulation (CNRM) following a request from opposition deputies, including Aïssata Tall Sall and Thierno Alassane Sall. Article 33, which allowed the closure of newspapers for repeat offenses, and Article 31, permitting the closure of media premises, were declared unconstitutional. However, other measures, such as Article 39 on the removal of illegal content, were upheld.
