The Regional Hygiene Brigade of Louga incinerated over 12 tons of food products deemed unfit for consumption, with an estimated market value of nearly 15 million CFA francs. Captain Mbaye Fall, head of the Regional Hygiene Service, stated that the products were seized during inspections at weekly markets, shops, and sales points in the region. Over the past twelve months, more than 22.5 tons of expired food products have been removed from circulation in Louga. Fall urged traders and consumers to report any suspicious or expired products to the authorities.
