UCT, Unisa and Bristol launch implementation framework for Africa Charter

The University of Cape Town (UCT), the University of South Africa (Unisa), and the University of Bristol have launched the next phase of the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations during a forum in Cape Town at the 2026 World Academic Summit. They signed an agreement to coordinate support and advance its implementation globally. The Charter, launched in 2023 in Windhoek, aims to address power imbalances in global knowledge production and promote transformative principles in African research.
