Lukman suspends ADC membership, alleges hostile treatment by El-Rufai

Salihu Mohammed Lukman announced the suspension of his membership in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the opposition coalition, alleging months of hostile treatment by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. In a message to ADC National Chairman Senator David Mark, Lukman said he could no longer bear the situation and stepped aside. He also criticized the coalition's lack of internal democracy, accusing some leaders of repeating the old habits they once condemned.
