Koumassi-campement: After the demolitions, the town hall helps affected families relocate

More than a week after the eviction on June 3, 2026 in the Houphouët-Boigny grand Campement district, the Koumassi town hall set up an emergency social unit to support the 164 affected families spread across 8 reception sites. Faced with the inability of the families, mostly tenants, to pay rental deposits, the town hall's social service decided to cover these deposits directly to facilitate their relocation. The demolition operation was the execution of a private court decision.
