BYM passes vote of no confidence in OPEP Sector Commander

The Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM) passed a vote of no confidence in Colonel Victor Asuquo, the Sector 4 Commander of Operation Enduring Peace, due to recurring attacks in Barkin Ladi. Between April and May 9, 2026, at least 34 residents were killed and over 70 hectares of farmland were destroyed by Fulani militias. Despite the presence of security forces, attacks continue, leaving communities vulnerable and abandoned.
