Roads grow GDP, fund them timely, Ogbuagu tells FG

Engr. Clement Ogbuagu, retiring Director of Highways Construction and Rehabilitation at the Federal Ministry of Works, urged the Federal Government to prioritize investment in the road sector, describing it as a key driver of economic growth. Speaking at a valedictory ceremony in Abuja, he stressed the need for timely release of funds for road projects to avoid unnecessary delays. Ogbuagu also praised civil service reforms, particularly the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP), calling for sustained funding for digital transformation. Minister of State for Works, Mohammed Goronyo, commended the retiring director's professionalism and dedication.
